Vessel’s  CSL MANHATTAN, main engine RTA 96C camshaft journals were damaged during her trip towards Rotterdam. Camshaft sections were off-landed in Portugal and travel by truck to our facility in Keratea.

The works included the following stages:
 

  1. Rigorous inspection, measurements and damage assessment
     

  2. Rough grinding on our CNC DB7000 grinder
     

  3. Buildup of worn surfaces by Laser Cladding
     

  4. Rough and finishing grinding to surface roughness to 0.1Ra and 0,5μm ovality
     

  5. NDT
